Our Services
Reputation protection
We provide you with comprehensive advice in the area of commercial reputation protection in order to protect your business reputation and credibility. In particular, we defend your company against defamatory statements and reports against or enforce your rights against such statements. We also provide preventive advice on statements made by our clients that are relevant to competition, such as customer information letters or press releases, which often want to be published in parallel to ongoing legal proceedings.
Trade secrets
In the area of trade secret protection, we regularly advise and represent our clients not only to protect valuable company information, but above all to enforce our client's rights in the event of trade secret infringement. Due to the high level of digitalization and the increase in remote working, we are increasingly observing leaks of secret information, which are bound to surface at competitors, especially in times of high employee turnover. Companies are in this regard also regularly confronted with accusations of alleged trade secret infringement from competitors. We support our clients in preventing this by taking effective preventive measures (e.g. trade secret protection concepts or employee training) and using all legally available means to take action against trade secret infringement. In addition, we draw on our experience from numerous cases involving the trade secret infringement to provide significant expertise in defending against unjustified civil and criminal attacks and accusations of alleged trade secret infringement. In recent years, we have successfully fended off unjustified attacks, thereby safeguarding our clients' interests.
Patents
We provide comprehensive advice and representation in all technical areas on questions of patent infringement or attacks on legal validity. We enforce our clients patents in the event of infringement by third parties both before the national courts and before the Unified Patent Court (UPC). A particular focus is on the enforcement of standard essential patents (SEPs) and the defense against unjustified claims arising from alleged SEPs. We also defend against warning letters, preliminary injunctions and lawsuits alleging patent infringement. We are equally at home on both the plaint and defendant side and can use our experience of each side in the interests of our clients in order to achieve an economically optimal result. In the context of infringement analyses, we advise on questions of freedom to operate (FTO analyses) as well as before or during ongoing patent infringement proceedings (second opinion). Together with experienced patent attorney colleagues from our clients' network or from our established network, we also represent our clients in validity proceedings before the patent offices and courts. Furthermore, we are regularly handling employee invention matters for our clients.

Trademarks/Designs
We offer complete services in trademark and design law, enforcing your rights against infringers and defending against unwarranted claims. We prioritize strategic, cost-effective advice, including exploring actions based on unregistered rights and unfair competition law.
Licensing / R&D
We draft contracts for the granting of use, exploitation and research of patents, trademarks and copyrights, such as license agreements, non-disclosure agreements, R&D agreements and cooperation agreements. Together with our clients, we carefully identify the strategic and commercial objectives of the planned cooperation and the best possible legal implementation. We carefully anticipate the numerous legal pitfalls and the considerable economic risks that often result from agreements on the use of intellectual property rights. Where necessary, we work in close cooperation with our proven network of specialists from other fields, such as tax law. We also represent our clients in legal disputes in connection with these types of contracts.
Copyright law
In copyright law, we provide comprehensive advice on the exploitation of copyrighted works, both through licensing and by way of enforcement. To this end, we regularly draft and negotiate contracts and appear in court. In addition, we defend our clients against unjustified claims of alleged copyright infringement, particularly in a competitive environment.
Unfair competition law
We provide comprehensive advice on unfair competition law, particularly in contentious matters. We advise on effective action against competitors acting unfairly and defend against unjustified warnings, injunctions and lawsuits for alleged unfair practices. German unfair competition law offers a wide range of options for taking action against competitors, particularly in the area of trade and distribution. This applies in particular to constellations of misleading advertising, price information, advertising with test results and aggressive business methods towards consumers or competitors. We also have proven expertise from numerous proceedings in the area of the competitive protection of products and other performance results via the so-called competitive performance protection (wettbewerblicher Leistungsschutz). This exists independently of intellectual property rights. Thanks to our many years of representation before the relevant German courts, we are familiar with the decision-making practice of the courts, as competition law is characterized by extensive "case law". We also provide preventive advice on compliance with relevant legal regulations, in particular on advertising campaigns and product labeling.
